As we enter the final weeks of school, excitement is building as we prepare to finish the year strong! Our End-of-Grade (EOG) testing begins tomorrow for our 5th grade students, and we are incredibly proud of the hard work our students and teachers have put in all year long. While we are not restricting Lunch Bunch or eating with students during this time, we do ask families to help us minimize extra traffic and interruptions throughout the building during testing days. Please also note that we will have many daily schedule adjustments, including lunch times, over the next two weeks. While tentative lunch schedules will be shared, testing schedules may shift depending on student needs, as we never want our students to feel rushed during testing. Thank you for your understanding, flexibility, and continued support as we prioritize what matters most — our students and their success!
MOVING HOME....to 6600 Johnson POND ROAD!
As we close out another incredible school year, it is hard to believe our time at the Hilltop campus is coming to an end. This temporary campus has been filled with learning, growth, resilience, and so many special memories for our school family. We are incredibly excited to officially return home to 6600 Johnson Pond Road and begin a new chapter together! Our final day with students is June 11, and June 12 will serve as our last day at the Hilltop campus as staff prepare for the move back home. Report cards will go home on June 10. As we prepare to transition campuses, it is extremely important that all student belongings are picked up prior to June 12. Please note that we will not be moving or storing any student items as part of our transition back to the renovated building. This includes jackets, water bottles, lunch boxes, library books, supplies, and all lost and found items. Any remaining items left at school after June 12 will be donated or discarded as we completely clear the building for the move. Please help us by checking in with your child and making arrangements to collect all personal belongings before the end of the school year. Thank you for your support during this exciting transition!
Please take a quick moment to complete our Parent Intent survey form linked above in the title of this section! We appreciate your assistance in our planning for next school year. Though we are not losing students due to Hilltop opening, we are paying close attention to our enrollment to be able to keep our current staff. EVERY STUDENT matters with employing our staff and we appreciate your honesty! If you indicate an anticipated change in enrollment, we will follow up by email. If your plans for the 2026-2027 school year change after completing this form, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing our Data Manager, Lisa McNeill, at mmcneill2@wcpss.net or calling the school at 919-557-2566. We really appreciate your help with this!
